Sports Day 2021

We ran a very controlled, COVID-safe sports day on Wednesday for Year 5/6 in the morning and Year 1/2 in the afternoon. To say we missed you being there is an understatement. As adults, it felt very strange and empty without your cheering and encouragement, yet the children just got on with it; lost in the fun of the day and enjoying their friendships. There was lots of laughter and the fine weather made it a lovely day for them. Our teams and I cheered and encouraged the children on behalf of you all. I hope the photos will give you a flavour of the day, though we know it is not the same as being there and we cannot wait until you can join us for next year’s event. For those who have children in Year 6, we hope our plans for the Leavers’ Assembly on Tuesday 20th July will be some compensation. We have FS1/FS2 and Year 3/4 sports days on Thursday 8th July and hopefully the weather will hold up for that as well.
