Children from across the school visited Efford marsh this week and worked with an artist to help create artwork for some new signs. The visit was arranged with the school by Take A Part and Stepping Stones 2 Nature. The signs being created will show people what is in Efford marsh, and what things they can do there, they will be placed at different points in the marshes so that people can see them whichever way they enter the marsh.
During their visit our children thought about what and who we might find in the marshes, created some observational drawings and explored the range of textures and colours that we can find there. The artists they worked with has now taken the drawings away to fit them into a board design. Once the design has been created we will be able to share this with you.
The visit was a great experience for our children, they were able to contribute to something within the community and luckily the weather was beautifully dry and sunny too!
