KS2 children, as part of their British Values learning about democracy, have been listening to child appropriate materials on the pros and cons of the in or out campaign. We ensured there was a completely balanced format, especially designed for children. On Thursday 23rd June 2016, KS2 children actually voted on a mock-up of the actual ballot papers being used. This vote was completely confidential as you would expect. School Council reps counted the ballot papers and the results were in favour of remaining in the EU. (59.5% remain, 40.5% leave) Official national results were 48% remain, 52% leave.
